WOMEN BEACH HANDBALL TEAM TO TRAVEL FOR WORLD GAMES QUALIFIERS

Uganda Handball Federation (UHF) is pleased to inform the general public, partners, sponsors and friends of the game that the women senior national team for Beach Handball has been fully registered and confirmed to participate in the forthcoming 2nd African Beach Games starting on 23rd to 30th June 2023 in Hammamet, Tunisia.

The 10 player team, accompanied by two officials, shall be competing against Tunisia, Kenya, Mali and Algeria for one of the available four slots to the second edition of the ANOC World Beach Games scheduled to take place later this year in Bali, Indonesia from 5 to 12 August 2023.

The team started nonresidential training on 14th May 2023 at Ndejje University under the technical guidance of coaches George Isabilye assisted Ismail Bazanye, and are expected to enter residential training at the same university from 11th – 21st June 2022, before departing on 22nd for the competition.

While the delegation has secured travel and boarding expenses, UHF seeks willing partners, sponsors, well-wishers, lovers of sports and the entire nation to financially support the team in kind or financially towards covering preparatory costs, related apparel and branding and team facilitation amounting to forty-two million Uganda shillings.
