Police have issued conditions to concert organizers following the Freedom City incident in which more than 10 people were dead and 18 others injured.
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said the Uganda Police Force has left concert organizers and those with restrictions to follow when organizing concerts.
Enanga said the orders issued by the police to concert organizers and venue managers and commanders including DPC, RPC include every organizer of a concert or gathering must write to the inspector of police requesting him to organize a concert for permission.
Concert organizers must indicate the expected number of visitors, fire extinguishers and must have bomb detectors and security guards at the gates.
Similarly, concert organizers should request security from the police and police if anyone is injured and hospitalized, and the organizer should notify the Uganda Police Force of the names of the artists who will be performing at his concert.
And the concert organizer has to provide doctors and snorting dogs.
Enanga also urged Ugandans to be vigilant in the wake of the bomb blast in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday that killed 10 people and injured 39 others in Kasindi, a Pentecostal church they are praying,3-kilometre border with Uganda and Congo.
Fred Enanga said this reminded them of the bombings at the centrol police station (cps) in Kampala and the parliament by the Allied Democratic forces (ADF).
Enanga said security is tight across the country
He urged people in public places such as markets, churches and churches to be more vigilant about learning in those places.
He said the security forces in Uganda have decided not to take people from boats at night because the Allied Democratic forces are passing through them.
