There was a panic on the Entebbe express highway where a suspected bomb was thrown on the side of the road.
ASP Luku Owoyesigyire, deputy spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, said the Police Bomb squad responded to an bandoned object in Kajjansi along Entebbe express highway bomb squad at around 8:00am. As a precaution, officers temporarily halted traffic to safely evacuate the object. We commend the public for their vigilance in reporting suspicious abandoned items, and we commend our Bomb squad and Pinnacle security incident intervention teams for their prompt response .
We would like to reassure the public that the Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all. We encourage everyone to continue to report any suspicious activity to the authorities so they can deal with it immediately. It is vital that we all work together to keep our communities safe.
