SC VILLA CLOSER TO FIRST GLORY SINCE 2004, RELEGATE BLACK POWER

Sports Club Villa (JOGOO) are one game away to click to this year’s league title which will be their first since 2004 when they last won the premier league after  edging Black Powers 1-0 away helping themselves  to a two point advantage at the summit of the table at 52 points while KCCA and Viper are at 50 each and are only separated by goal difference.

 The reigning champions Vipers SC managed a 1-1 all draw with Bull FC while KCCA FC also pulled a goalless draw against Busoga another Jinja based side which tinted their chances of winning this year’s title.

Charles Bbaale scored the lone goal in second half that helped the Jogoo to leapfrog Viper s from the summit having been tied up in points but was before today’s games the three teams were being separated by the inferior goal difference.

Although there is one game remaining to end the  season and Villa will be playing a way with URA FC , head coach  Jackson Magera said after the game that he is very optimistic the his club will win this season’s challenge.

Magera said that that his boys are charged and very thirty and in their last game he will command them to play like wounded Buffalos to give their fans happiness.

Vipers fell behind when the Jinja based side took the lead through Samuel Ssekamate in the 67th minute but the visitors salvaged a point late into stoppage time when Karim Watambala converting from the spot.

In their last game, Villa will be playing with URA at home, Vipers end their season when they take on  Jinja SSS at St. Mary’s Kitende  while KCCA FC will entertain Bright Stars at Philip Omondi stadium and all games will be played on May 27, 2023 same time.
