President Yoweri Museveni through his Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) has donated equipment and assorted items worth millions of shillings to party mobilisers from the central and eastern region in a move to eradicate poverty among households.
The items donated included welding, sewing, bricklaying, gnuts grinding and popcorn machines, hairdryers, and agricultural tools such as; farm sprayers, maize seeds, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, among others.
Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Head of Mobilisation at Museveni’s office in kyambogo who officiated the handover ceremony voiced to beneficiaries to desist from selling the equipments for quick money but instead use them as start up capital for better standards of living as well as increasing government income.
” NRM is here to make everyone reach as per government target to reach middle income status, but don’t think that were are camping for 2026 elections” Namyalo says.
” Some people out there try to undermine the efforts of Jjajja and NRM that is just giving them cheap things tm, but let them also give you then the public will judge , but I advise you not to give them your ears but focus to make your self reach through this small start up capital” she added
Jajja Museveni values your support to him, and that’s why he has and continues to stand with you. Meanwhile, you must know that for us here at ONC, we do monitoring when you get this equipment go use them genuinely and be able to get some good yields out of them,” Hajjat sounded.
“I encourage you to utilize the various government poverty eradication programmes available, especially the Parish Development Model to transform their lives, because only then will convince other Ugandans to join the NRM” she concluded.
