BAMUNANIKA VOTERS ARE LOOKING FOR THE HEAD OF THEIR AREA MP SSEKITOLEKE, DISAPPEARED WITH THEIR FUNDS

Voters of Bamunanika constituency are spiting fire after the area Member of Parliament Robert Ssekitoleko conned them of their money they collected for the construction of a Health Centre III building at zirobwe Town Council in Luweero District.

It’s alleged that the people of Zirobwe Town Council and the neighbouring area collected Ushs 4 million and Mr. Ssekitoleko the area MP pledged to top up the balance such that the health centre premises can be fully constructed but to their dismay he went and collected even the 4 million from the treasure and disappeared with it.

Sources trivial to this website intimated to the writer said that residents of Zirobwe Town Council in Bamunanika led by the Town Mayor Pascal Imarach Mujune last year organized a function aimed at fundraising for the construction maternity ward for Zirobwe Health Centre III and as well as buying the beds for the ward and this was budgeted to cost Ushs 100 million.

The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among was invited as chief guest but was unable to attend and instead sent her personal assistant who gave in her pledge of 10 million and promised to give this money to Ssekitoleko the area MP who will later hand it over to the project treasurer.

The MP at the function told the meeting that he will top-up on the money collected and cash of 4.5 million was collected but when the function ended, Ssekitoleko obtained this money from the treasurer Soria Nabachwa who also doubles as the councillor for Zirobwe Central at the Town Council whom he told that he will bring it back after toping it up with his pledge of 4.5m plus the 10m from the Speaker all totalling to 19m.

Construction of the ward building commenced last year and it’s now a full year since Ssekitoleko took the money and has not even returned a single coin but whenever they call him he admits that he is aware of what he owes them and that he will bring the money when he gets it.

It’s also alleged that Ssekitoleko is very much indebted with huge debts which have deterred him to take back the money he obtained in false pretense from his voters.

Imarach said they have opened a file against him at the area police station for obtaining money by false pretence and police is now hunting him to answer such charges and the Mayor vows to ,make him(Ssekitoleko) vomit the money.

Ahmed Kasibante the councillor representing Zirobwe were the said Health Center is located said that residents of this area have warned Ssekitoleko of not coming back in the constituency if he still needs to be alive if they get him, he will be treated like a real thief and it needs mob justice they are determined to do it because the money he took has cost people’s lives yet the aim was to save their lives.

Siraje Kasujja also a resident of Bamunaanika alleges that Ssekitoleko deceived the electorate that he is  an advocate and he called all those who case they would like to take to court to bring them to him such that he can be able to represent them in courts of law but later people discovered that he lied to them and that didn’t complete the Bar course he was undertaking at Law Centre.

They also alleged that they tried to take court cases to him but he would just dodge them and he would also lie that the cases are very complicated.

There also tailors who design for Ssekitoleko garments who are looking for him demand their pay for the supply of cloths including suits and he has failed to pay them yet they see him in Parliament and when they try to call him for a reminder he doesn’t pick.

Reliable sources intimated to this website that there are money lenders who are also looking for him having earlier extended a loan to him and this forced him to remain in parliament during day time and he sleeps in a rented room in Kyanja near the late Isma Olaxes home.

When Hon. Robert Ssekitooleko was contacted by this website for his views on the subject matter said that these are malicious allegations and there are his political opponents who just want to tarnish his name and he did spare enough time to elaborate more.
