Minister Oryem said they have decided to speak out against the M23 rebels.

The move comes after the coalition forces in eastern Congo ordered last week to take over the main town of Rumangabo from the M23 rebels in 2022. The M23 rebels have decided to withdraw from the town and hand it over to the peacekeepers Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The area is adjacent to Goma and is located near the UN peacekeeping base in Congo.

The area also contains weapons and danger of the Congolese army as M23 rebels had attacked the Congolese army knows in November when M23 had locked up.
