“Let us continue with humility humbleness soulful passion, patience and respect to one another just like we have been doing in the lent period.” His Grace Ssemogerere cautioned.

He also asked the believers to leave bad habits such quarrelling, using of vulgar words because the resurrection of Jesus have washed away their sins.

“The acts of sinning should be left in the grave and we should restricted with Juses”. We are friends and brothers and when we commit any wrong we should always forgive each other because there’s no one who is perfect. “He said.

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi ÌI also gave an Easter message to his subjects and was conveyed to the congregation by the former Prime Minister Mulwanyamuli Ssemwogere.

In his written speech, the Kabaka argued his people to remain strong despite the challenge and that they should desist from being carried away by material gains, such as wealth and physical cash and abandon what they believe in.

“As Buganda we should always respect the agreements we make with others whether written or verbal because this will help us go far and it’s a sign of good morals and integrity.”  His Majesty said.

He also called upon his subjects to continue fighting the spread of HIV / Aids disease which he said it’s now more prevalence in 3 Buganda Districts as opposed to 10 like it was the case in the past.

He also retaliated the Archbishop’s message saying that the Easter season should be a reward for humbleness and humility which should encourage people to work for peace.

The Minister of State in charge of Higher Education Dr. JC Muyingo called on the church to help government in conveying messages that encourage the masses especially the youth to embrace poverty eradication programs brought by government.

He also argued religious leaders to also initiate programs geared towards eradicating poverty levels in their respective Parishes.

On the rampant Road traffic crashes the Minister argued masses to hate the motorist who overspend and those driving carelessly because they are the major cause of road accidents in Uganda.

“If we want to combat the rampant road crashes, we should been hating and isolated Motorists who drive carelessly and those who overspend beacuase they have become a menace on our roads.” Dr.Miyingo said.

The Minister also argued religious leaders to embrace and campaign for environmental conservation and restoration through encouraging people they lead to plant trees starting with the Diocesan schools and Parishes.

Rubaga Parish Priest Fr. Achilles Mayanja said that the church baptized 18 converts from other religions on the eve of Easter. Meanwhile at Nansana Parish 20 converts were also baptized in the mass that was ushering believers in the Easter Sunday.

Fr.Mayanja also called upon the believers to help him collect funds for roofing of the newly constructed priests’ house which is one of the projects done in commemoration of Rubaga Parish 100 years of existence.
