UGANDA TO HOST SOUTH TO SOUTH TRIANGULAR CORPORATION FORUM

Uganda to host the 2nd South to South Triangular Corporation high level forum geared towards discussing the development challenges facing the member countries and how to solve them.

This was revealed by the minister of state for finance Amos Lugoloobi in charge of micro finance at media centre in Kampala on January 12, 2023.

Lugoloobi said that the meeting  will be held at Common Wealth Speke Resort Munyonyo between 17- 29 January 2024 and it will attract participants from 43 African countries and others outside Africa such as China,  Brazil  Argentina and India.

He also said that a total of 250 participants will attend of which 150 will be from Uganda and these people are the political leaders, heads of Corporations and key institutions, the private partners as well as publics institutions

The forum will be under the Theme: Building National Capacity for South to South Triangular Corporate Eco System.

The minister also said that the meeting will also held Uganda tap into other markets and yet strengthen the relationship with the already existing ones.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Uganda Suzan Naongi Namonda said that United Nations will see this meeting as a possible accelerator of development plans in Agriculture and Health sectors of the participating countries.

” This Forum is timely , first  iam optimistic that peer countries will learn  ways of managing Epidermic since Uganda is one of the best countries in area of management of epidemics not only in Africa but globally. ”  Susan Naongi said.

She also said that participating countries  will be able to discuss development challenges  and the key benefits  that will come out as well as better integration means, collaboration and tapping into the partnership.

Naongi hailed Uganda for proper management of the eruption of epidemics and argued other countries globally to borrow a leaf and also learn on how best it has been doing it.
