Andrew Sekimuli who conned people shillings one billion

Fake Tourism Company has conned Ugandans close to one billion shillings and the directors are on the run after victims reported to police for help to recover their money.
The perpetuators Jackeline Mbulamuti and Andrew Sekimuli who are on the run purportedly deceived their victims that they are connecting people to get well-paying jobs in Israel and asked each to pay UGX 22 million and also deposited their passport with the company.
The Ministry of International Affairs spokesperson Simon Peter Mundeyi while addressing reporters at Police Headquarters revealed that more than 43 people from different parts of the country were conned close to one billion shillings were each was paying UGX 22 million after being promised a job in Israel that pays a salary of UGX 10 m per month.
“ We are doing what it takes to see that we arrest these fraudsters and produce them to court to answer charges of obtaining money by false pretense,’’ Mr. Mundeyi said.
He also said that Mbulamuti was working as the Managing Director while Sekimuli as the company’s tourist officer but he had a United States of America Visa and he is looking for a way out of the country to avoid arrest having learnt of reported crime case at police.
Mundeyi also said that government has already alerted Interpol and USA Embassy about Sekimuli’s case and fraud actions.
He also said that they reached Lubaga where their office was located and found when they had closed it.
