Minister of State for ICT Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo has said that government is working on a law that will deter homosexuality incidences in schools and prevent those practicing such acts in the country to access schools and higher institutions of learning.
Ssebugwawo said that the law being worked ont by the Ministry of ICT includes schools advertising on radio,TV with anti-gay messages that they do not support gay behaviors.
He said the bill in the next few weeks will be taken to the cabinet for discussion and thereafter will be tabled to flow of parliament such that members can discuss and pass it.
The bill, which Ssebugwawo wants to bring about, requires every school to have an advertisement on social media which will be saying that they do not support homosexuality among students so that parents know which schools to take their children to.
She also said if any school is caught teaching the country’s children to practice such inhuman activity, government will not hesitate to close it and arrest the headmaster or teachers involved.
Ssebugwawo also warned children and schools not to be taken up by the huge sums of money that guys give them at the expense degenerating African morals and cultural norms because this will endanger our society.
