The UPDF has called on the fighters to recapture the army and rob the soldiers in the battlefield.
The UPDF needs 4000 fighters to be trained in tactics to be able to defeat the enemy.
Deputy UPDF Spokesperson Col Deo Akiiki said the UPDF was free to invite veterans to join the army as it is in the laws governing the armed forces in Uganda.
Deo Akiiki said the veterans will be trained starting tomorrow 16 -17/2/2023,the veterans should have what they need to be prepared to start training.
(a) must possess an original State identity card
(b) Certificate of discharge
(c) Be 55 Years and below
(d) Shall be medically and physically examined for fitness.
Upon completion of the exercise, the successful veterans will be taken to the Peace Support Training Center , PSO- Singo, Nakaseke District.
1.Veterans from the districts of greater Eastern Uganda ( 3 Division Area of ​​Responsibility )such; Bukedi, Teso, Elgon and Karamoja Sub areas are to report to Bugema Army Barracks, Mbale district and Soroti Flying School, Soroti town for the exercise.
