Bika tournament draws for 1st and 2nd round have released:
Each team registered will get two balls
The bika bya Baganda tonarment which come off every year at different play grounds last year’s
edition Olugave lost against Ndiga 1 – 0 at the final stage and this gave Ndiga to be declared as
the champions of 2022. at Wankuluku play grounds.
The Daily Star News.ug.com made a research and found that the Bika Bya Baganda started long
time ago in early 50s and Mbogo Clan won the 1950 edition of Bika Bya Baganda.However,ever since the reign of Kabaka Ronald Frederick Kimera Muwenda Mutebi ll in 1993 started only Olugave and Ente ever defended their victories though Emmaba has more leading champion.
The preliminary round one which took place on 13th May, 2023 at Muteesa II Play grounds in wankuluku of kyadondo county, kampala where Enkima Lost 3-1against Engabi Ensamba
and the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda mutebi II graced that match.
As yesterday 19th May 2023, the Technical committee headed by Mansoor Kabugo promulgated
the first and second round of Bika Bya Baganda and it is expected to commence on 24th
May,2023 on different play grounds in Kyadondo.
“The confirmed play grounds includes,Kabaka Kyabaggu, Buddo SS, Muteesa II Wankuluku,
Kawanda SS and old Kampala SS and each team will get two balls for both girls and boys plus a
full jazzy ” Kabugo said.
Mmamba Namakaka, Nyange, Nte, Mpindi, Mutima Muyanja, Mbogo, Nsenene, Kinyomo, Mmamba
Kakoboza, Olulyo Olulangira, Ngonge, Njaza, Nkerebwe, Kasimba, Namungoona, Mutima Musagi, Ngabi
Ngaali, Ffumbe, Lugave, Ndiga, Kkobe, And Ngo for them promoted automatically to the third round,
