It’s a crazy and ridiculous situation as mother chops her 4 months old baby into pieces cooks it as her appetite for meat arose.
Such a crazy and absurd incident occurred in Yumbe district in the North West Nile Region were Nadio Manjubo, 24, a resident of Chamanikua village, Yayari Parish in Lovi sub-county, Yimbe district hacked her son, Angelo Buga into pieces and put them in a saucepan for cooking.
The Police spokesperson SCP. Fred Enanga informed reporters in a weekly press briefing at Naguru police Headquarters on Monday that the territorial Police of Yumbe district informed him about the incident that occurred on July 19, 2023 , that the woman was caught red-handed boiling the meat.
After her arrest, she informed the police that she felt like eating meat and because of the appetite, she decided to hack and stuff the boy’s body into pieces and start boilng them .She was committed to Youmbe court and was remanded to Yumbe prison on July 21, 2023.
‘’To cut and dismember an innocent child into pieces is absolutely horrific. The crime scene was so disturbing and shows how some parents have lost sense of humanity and love for their children.’’ SCP Enanga said.
He adds; “We urge all parents in challenging domestic settings, to always seek help from the Child and Family Protection Unit, the nearest police station or other child rights defender. It is painful that the 4 month old son, died from the hands of a mother, who was supposed to keep him safe.’’
