Kampala Executive director Dorothy Kisaka has to day announced a plan to repair the Potholes on the road in Kampala , remove garbage everywhere, and off street children to their home as Uganda prepares for the visitors.
Speaking at the African Hotel, Kisaka told reporters that the government has already allocated shs 78 billion for the rehabilitation of roads in Kampala.
He said the roads include Ggaba cape ,Kibuli,Muyenga taka hill,salama road, mukwano road, Kabalagala, and others.
Kisaka said they have plans to make the city a smart city where every garbage will be removed and the sewers will be cleaned.
He said the street children have been working with other agencies such as KCCA to take them off the streets as soon as possible while others will be taken back to their homes
“Said the street workers who recently protested over the debt of their wages to Kisaka who said they will be paid and have been taking them for four months assured them that they will be paid through their groups.
He said they will not allow the vendors to return to the streets and Kcca will arrest them and prosecute them
