In a bid to encourage traditional schools to also embrace the game of football, FUFA has introduce a tournament that will feature in 8 traditional schools from different regions of the country which have not been footballing power houses.
The newly born FUFA TV cup tournament according to the FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo will help to talents not only footballers but also referees, coaches, administrators as well as fans.
Magogo said that theses traditional schools are excelling academically and in future these students will be managers and some will hold positions of influence therefore, they need to be taped at an early stage such that they will be able to help the game of football to grow.
“ We are yearning for corporate organizations to come on board as sponsors and partners but many are not willing yet they have the means, the challenge is that many don’t love the game of football but when we venture into the younger people it will help the game in future.’’ Magogo reasoned.
The 8 school to feature into the three week tournament include: Makerere College, Mengo s.s, Kiira College Butiki, Namilyango College, St Mary’s College Kisubi, Busoga College
