GIVE US MONEY TO FIGHT THEFT, PROTECT PEOPLE’S PROPERTY

The Uganda Police Force (UPF) is seeking a budget of 2 trillion and 922billion Ugandan shillings in the 2023-2024 budget to run its operations and deliver services to the public.

However, the ministry of finance allocated 823 billion leaving a deficit of 2trillion and 78billion Some of the  2 trillion  and 922 billion police had expected to invest include a classified budget of  790billion.

The purchase of police cars was 79 billion

The purchase of vehicles and fire extinguishers cost Ugx 20 billion and the purchase of food for the soldiers during operations cost  91 billion.

However, the police wanted funds for its unsupervised doctor but the finance ministry allocated only Rs150 billion out of  187 crore the police wanted to buy street cameras without funding in budget 203-24

The police wanted to block the house and repair the old house but they gave it 72 billion.

The other 281 billion was for fuel to repair vehicles, and police aircraft but Rs 68 billion was donated.

The other amount was  371 billion. The police wanted the money to fight crime, investigate crimes but they gave it only Rs 70 billion.
