HOW A SOCIALITE COME ROBBER WAS ELIMINATED BY POLICE

Residents of Kiwalimu Village in Kasangati town council, Wakiso District were shocked on getting news of one of their fellow resident, a renown socialite and a designer being killed in Namulonge with other two thieves with whom he has been operating with in the car theft.

Richard Twebaze who has been a socialite, well known for splashing cash in bars and at social gatherings was one of the thieves shoot dead but unsurprisingly he was living a luxurious life sleeping in a posh house in Kiwalimu zone.

He has been a stylist disguisedly working as a land broker and it’s from this background that he would spy on rich customers and turn around and rob them of their had cash and at times killing his victims to hide the evidence.

In one of the videos that went viral he said before his death, as he was splashing cash on a graduation ceremony where a makerere University lady was partying, ‘’ leka tuzirye abaana balikola ezaabwe’ a Luganda dialect meaning let us enjoy our money the children will make their own.

 He has been always attending the commonly known bars in the City Centre and he was also well known as a socialite who used to splash cash without fear together with his accomplices, Danson Ramba and Ian Ssozi who were also eliminated by police.

On Thursday last week, Police Flying Squad shot Twebaze together with his other two accomplice killing them instantly at Namulonge near National Agriculture Research institute headquarters in Wakiso District having trailed them as they were trying to escape arrest.

The trio were notorious car robbers on police’s wanted list and had been at times being arrested, arraigned to court but due to inadequate evidence pinning them, they have been lucky some time for being released by court.

How Twebaze met his death

The security guard on NARO Farm in Namulonge, Jeremia Oyunrwoh narrates how the three accomplices were eliminated by the Fyling Squad police . Men in plain closes came trailing the vehicle in which Twebaze and his fellows where travelling in Wish type but i didn’ts get its number plate, they were shooting direct to the vehicle and the drive of Wish was shot and this forced him to break at once but was helpless.

The other ocupants came out of the vehicle and tried to take off in the gardens of NARO but the police men continued to shoot at them several bullets and some went on target and they were eventually also killed.

Some of the police men harried to the vehicle to see the driver and found him still alive but screaming in Luganda , ‘abaana bange..’ and they tried to question him about money but couldn’t reply to them and shortly he also succumbed to injuries.

The manager of NARO Farm, Richard Kamya said that the police men after killing the suspected thieves started looking at the vehicle critically and checking inside it.

Twebaze’s fellow brokers after being killed in such circustance started to give false information to the public that their colleague was killed by one person with whom they had together with deceased had bought land.
