Driver Stanley Kisambira, who was heard in a video talking about his low salary, has been charged with hate speech and remanded in custody until June
Kisambira, 46, was arraigned before Buganda Road Magistrate Fidelis Otwao.
The judge said that on 12-May-2023, Kisambira while in Uganda sent a voice message on the Judiciary WhatsApp Group trying to sow hatred against the Judges saying they get paid much higher than their Drivers which is unfair and the Driver may decide to cause an accident and kill the judge and his guards.
Kisambira pleaded not guilty, and was remanded in custody until 2-June when he will appear before a judge who was not present today.
