MAN AND HIS MOTHER APPREHENDED BY POLICE ON MURDER CHARGES

Police in Masulita, Wakiso District has arrested a man who allegedly murdered his wife after getting her playing sex with a bodaboda rider in their bed.

The deceased was identified as Prosscovia Nakyanzi 33, who was stubbed to death by her husband a one Sekanjako Missah during a fight.

The incident occurred at 9:00Pm in Masulita Town Council where un identified boda- boda rider was found by the suspect murderer, Sekanjako but the bodaboda rider only identified as Ivan managed to free and the suspect turned the anger on his wife.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigire, Sekanjako allegedly caused a fight where he grabbed a knife and cut his victim by neck instantly killing her.

Owoyesigire also told reporters in a press conference at Naguru Police Headquarters on 20th May that after receiving information of murder, police rushed to the scene with K-9 dog which led them to the suspects mother’s place Namata Robbina located about 1 kilometre away from the scene of crime and here detectives recovered exhibits like the trousers which she was washing and had fresh blood stain.

The prime suspect, Sekanjako was found wearing a T-shirt that had also fresh blood stain had body injuries and a killer knife, he was then arrested together with his mother who was found washing one of the exhibits to distort evidence.

 The Kampala Metropolitan police mouth piece also said that the suspects have recorded statements while exhibits taken to police experts ascertain the DNA sample as further investigations into the matter are ongoing.

In a related matter, Owoyesigire also told reporters that Kabalagala Police is investigating circumstances under which a toddler died while being bathed by the house keeper.   

The incident happened in Katuuso Zone, Buziga Parish in Makindye Division, Kampala where a baby was negligently left in a shower bucket by the house keeper and allegedly fall in the waters that was being used to bath her,

“ It’s also alleged that Milly Nambusi 14, a house keeper of Gorrete Nakafeero was bathing the deceased baby of 1 year and eight months in a shower bucket she went to do other things by the time she came back to attend to her she was unwell.’’ ASP Owoyesigire narrated.

Nambusi called neighbors who rushed and tried to give the baby first aid but conditions were worsening they then rushed her to Kiruddu referral hospital together with her mother and it’s from here she was pronounced dead.

Police arrested the House Keeper and opened the file while more investigations are being carried out to get more information after which the file according to the spokesperson be forwarded to the DPP for advise the suspect being a juvenile.
