The members of Forum for Democratic Change in Mbale city, on Tuesday expressed their dissatisfaction and accused their leaders for smuggling a fake document of executive Committee members to Najjanankumbi party headquarters claiming that they were elected yet there was no elections.
The FDC party held elections in Mbale Industrial city division but it’s alleged that Okuri cancelled them claiming that there was forgery, and secretly smuggled a fake list to Najjanankumbi only occupied those with her interests.
During a press conference held this afternoon in Mbale, Hajji Massa Musa former LC3 chairman Industrial division accused Ms. Margaret Okuri the chairperson of Mbale district, Nabende Badru general secretary and Khalid Masa for playing games to destroy the party.
“Okuri is our chairperson in Mbale district and now we have a city but she want to run both the district and the city which is not possible and yet she’s not a performer but we want a leader who can mobilize others,” Hajji Massa said.
Musa noted that, there was a very big confusion and elections couldn’t go on but we were surprised to see a list coming from our Head offices in Najjanankumbi claiming that they voted.
“I want to assure the public that FDC didn’t vote in Mbale Northern city division and Mbale city. So we are planning to vote on Saturday and Sunday respectively,” He added.
Mr. Fozi Ahamed Salim FDC leaderin Mbale Northern city division informed Bugisu intellectual reporter that, they are not happy with the three party leaders for forging a list and took it to Najjanankumbi showing that they voted in Mbale city which is not true.
“In the past election in Mbale city our performance was very bad because we didn’t get any MP, Few councillors but only the City mayor it’s not the credit to our party leadership which fought for him, so we need change,” He revealed.
Fozi said, they want a leader who has the following, if he goes to the market, garage or any place there must be those who follows him.
Kakai Harriet deputy mayor Mbale city told Bugisu intellectual forum that what they want is a free and fair elections to file their party structures.
“Come rain come sunshine Nandala Mafabi is becoming a president of Uganda, we support him but those moles who move around saying that we are in the camp of Ssemujju are just liars, we are team Nandala and Amuriat,”
Siraji Luledi LCI chairman Lwakhakha cell in Mbale city, what we know about our secretary general Nathan Nandala Mafabi he’s a good mobilizer, concerning the NRM money we would have asked him the way back in 2015 or immediately after elections why now when he has also shown interest in the big seat.
“Those in the party asking now are just fighting him but us we don’t have any problem with him we are going to support him and push for this agenda until he succeeds,” Siraji noted.
Efforts to get a comment from Margret Okuri were futile.
