He told a news conference at the army camp in Mbuya that he was not being tortured by the security forces, but by the NUP and he will not suffer and then they will give him 50million to show the ruling government that it is bad for the people.

He said the NUP has drones in which they hijack those people they are in agreement with.

Eric said he was shocked when he was physically tortured but did not get what he was promised, so he decided to come out and open people’s eyes that this government sometimes does not torture and kidnap people.

He also stripped off his shirt and showed the injuries he sustained when he burnt his passport

Meanwhile, another young man has come out and said that he was also promised the same job but when he saw his colleague’s situation he did not get what he was promised but he was in a bad situation so he decided to leave the deal.

His UPDF spokesperson Brig. Gen Felix Kulayigye urged Ugandans not to live in such a disaster because they want immediate funds.

He added that they fought to save Eric ‘s life

Kulayigye said they will arrest all those behind these allegations and blame the Government of Uganda.

Eric was kidnapped on 31/1/23 at 5am in Namuwongo area of Bukasa and was taken to Kololo on Sunday

On 20th February 2023 Eric said that there were men following him everywhere and that there were phone calls threatening him that if he did not leave the media they would arrest him again.

Councilor James Mubiru said the NUP cannot deceive the people that the government should produce evidence to prove that the NUP is deceiving the people.

Mubiru said this is a tactic of the rebels and Museveni is well aware of trying to weaken the opposition in Uganda while they are not going to give up to save the country.

National unity platform ( NUP) spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi said that all this is expected to happen that the government of President Museveni is playing with the revival, and there are others who will give money to plan the revival by condemning the NUP as a terrorist organization.

He said the government wastes money by buying people to accuse the National Unity Platform of being involved in the acts of kidnapping people.
