Police is stuck with a dead body recovered from a septic tank from a home located in Namugona Zone II Lubaga Division, Kampala.
This follows a vigilant resident who happens to be a tenant of a suspect only identified as Sebugenyi informing police having seen parts of body of unidentified victim
On receiving information, police immediately swung into action and retrieved the body for postmortem. The body had not yet rotten and the victim is estimated to be around 36 years old.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy spokesperson, Luke ASP Owoyesigire, one suspect the wife of Sebugenyi has been arrested to aid the investigations while her husband is on the run and the body is now in Mulago mortuary.
Owoyesigyire also said that the septic tank was half way covered with iron sheets and this tenant names with held to see the body. He said that efforts to arrest the culprit is underway.
The deceased’s body was dressed in black pair of trousers and a white T-shirt without any identification document.
Police appeal to the public and anyone who have a disappearance of family member to report and go and check the body at Mulago Mortuary.
