Probation Police Constables to start a twelve months trianing at Kabalye-Masindi next month

A total of 3,441 successful candidates who applied to join police as Polce constable will commence their 12 months training on 13th July 2024 and out of these, 2,349 are male while only 1,092 are female.

A five team instructors according the police spokesperson SCP. Fred Enanga will receive them at Masindi Kabalye Police training academy which is situated on a 2 square mile site.

The IGP Abbas Byakagaba congratulated the successful candidates who qualified to join police forces in his statement read to the reporters by Enanga but however he cautioned them to be very responsible persons with high level of integrity.

“ You are joining a career that demands a high level of personal integrity and responsibility, therefore you ought to exhibit these traits right from training failure to have this you will be dismissed, ‘’ Mr. Byakagaba cautioned the candidates.

While addressing Journalists at Naguru Police Headquarters in the weekly security press briefing, Enanga said that will now undergo extensive process of molding them from civilians into professionals and dedicated officers and this carries a lot of excitement about learning new things.

 “The successful candidates must note that they to help you acquire these skills, a fine team of instructors, will welcome you to the academy, which is located on a 2 square mile site, which hosts very good learning facilities with scenario-based training programs, paramilitary and self-defense training grounds, weapon ranges, lecture hall and classrooms, dormitories, IT laboratory, a library, dining room and sports grounds.’’ Enanga said

 He further said that the academy takes pride in developing skills, and capabilities of officers serving the country in various positions of leadership. A list of selected candidates for is available at the Forces’ website.

Candidates are required to carry their original and photo copies of their academic documents, four passport photos, 2 dozen of bic pens, 4 filing covers, 2 pairs of blue bed sheets, one pair of gum boots and canvas shoes respectively.

Other requirements include; 2 T-shirts, a mosquito net, 6 rolls of toilet papers, 2 packets of sanitary pads for female candidates, 2 bars of soap, a ten-liter plastic jerrican and a basin, a towel and other hygiene cleaning materials.
