PUPILS OF KAMULI GIRLS PRIMARY SURVIVE FIRE- BELONGS DESTROYED TO ASHES

Pupils of Kamuli Girls Primary School in Bukwenge Cell, Sabawali Parish, Kamuli Municipality, Kamuli District, survived being killed by fire as outbreak destroys all their belongs to ashes.

The territorial police spokesperson of the Busoga North region Micheal Kasadha in his X said that the fire outbreak occurred on October 14, 2023, the Matron acted swiftly and helped all pupils to escape without any harm.

“ Our Fire and Rescue Services Team successfully put out the flames although regrettably the pupils belongings such bedding, books and metallic, had been destroyed.’’ Kasadha said.

He further said that preliminary investigations indicate that the fire originated from an unoccupied lower bed. The pupil on the upper bed felt the heat and promptly reported it to the matron.

“Our teams are conducting thorough investigations to determine the root cause of this devastating fire outbreak.” He said.

The school management by the time of the incidence were not in school save the Matron and were un able to be reached by press time.
