SC VILLA PRESIDENT MANDELA UNVEILS A FIVE YEAR SPONSORSHIP DEAL WORTH US$ 750,000 (USHS 2.7 BILLION)

In an effort to continue reviving the past glory of SC Villa, the club President Omar Mandera has secured a sponsor ship deal with Linglong Tire Company limited, a tire manufacturing company in China worth US $ 750,000 (Ushs 2.7 billion) for a period of five years. This will see Villa pocket every months US $ 150,000 starting with August. 2023.

The lucrative sponsorship was unveiled on the occasion at Mandera group companies City Tire branch in Kamyokya , Kampala Central Division on July27, 2023. The club’s chairman Board of Trustees who is also a former minister of finance Gerald signed the sponsorship agreement on behalf of SC Villa while Cathy Cao the head of Marketing at Linglong Tire sign on behalf of her company.

The unveiling and signing of the agreement occurred amidst the presence of other clubs board of trustee members and a section of fans and some of the legendary players and notable ones were, Geoffrey Higenyi, Peter Nsaba and Eng William Nkemba.

After signing the deal, Gerald Sendaula said that this will help to improve the club’s  performance through enhance the welfare of both the players and the coaching staff, including their salaries and wages which has been eluding the performance of the club for the past couple of years.

“Villa acknowledges the valuable sponsorship extended to his club by Linglong Tire which he said will play a very vital role in the success of the club because it will help in shaping and empowering the next generation of talents.’’ Sendaula said.

He further said that if the club is to fully regain its past glory and win every competitive completion in the local and international arena, more sponsorship is needed and as administrators they will continue hunting for more, for instance, the club’s playing kits still need companies which need to advertise on it.

The marketing Manager for Linglong Tire who represented the company’s chairman said that her company bosses have been dealing with Omar Mandela for the last 15 years and this prompted them to extend this sponsorship and because of the trust they have in him.

Meanwhile Mandela group also received 2 brand new electric cars that the customers of the company will compete for through buying tires which will enable them enter the raffle draws.

The 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League is set to commence on September 5th and SC Villa who missed winning the 2022/2023 season championship just on the last game of the campaign will know their first opponent on July31, 2023 when the fixtures will be released.
