Engineer Immanuel Ben Missaga during his happy time
The former President of SC Villa Eng.Missaga Immanuel Ben threaten to align his club to court for failure to pay him the loan amount and interest he extended to the club in 2014 when it was in critical financial crisis and he demands Ushs 3 billion
Missaga who led Villa between 2014-2018 alleges that he bailed out the Club through his Lusaka Commodities with a sum of Ushs 300 million in 2014 and the loan agreement between the two parties indicate that SC Villa was supposed to pay an interest of 50%. This was to be paid from every income made by the club.
He wants the current leadership headed by Omar Mandela to pay what the club owes to his Lusaka Commodities Company least he will not hastate to committee the leaders together with the club to court for non-payment of his dues.
‘’The 300m loan agreement was reached into and signed on 22nd July, 2014 after Salim Ssemanda who was president of the club then and the late Frank Topher Musoke the former General Secretary signed on behalf of Villa while Ben Missaga and Meddie Nsereko signed on behalf of Lusaka Commodities as Directors.’’ Missaga alleges in his social media handle.
Villa administrators used this money to pay for the land that hosts the training facility commonly known as Villa Park during the time when the land owners wanted to take over the said land and this helped the club to be compensated a lump sum of Ushs. 7.5 billion by UNRA when construction of the Nsambya Fly over was about to commence.
“ I bailed the club during that financial trying moment. I have the agreement and let the leaders stop taking things for granted, I need my money. Villa is not a church where I was paying a tithe. If I didn’t bail out the club even the 7.5 billion wouldn’t have been received.’’ Eng. Missaga charged.
He further says that Eng. William Nkemba also former president now acting as the Club’s CEO was paid part of the amount of his personal funds he used to bail out the club while experiencing financial crisis during his tenure but he is wondering why the current administration is not considering him.
Part of the said loan according to Missaga was for paying for acquisition of players and payment of salary arrears for Steven Bogere who was Head coach then.
The Club’s Public Relations Officer Dr. Asana Kasigye when reached on mobile phone said that the formal communication hasn’t been received that he also got information from social media but the board will convene a meeting very soon and discuss the way forward to come up with official communication.
