THE COUNTRY'S TAX AUTHORITY (URA) WANTS TO TAX ARTISTS. - dailystarnews

THE COUNTRY’S TAX AUTHORITY (URA) WANTS TO TAX ARTISTS.

the country’s tax authority (URA) wants to tax artists.

Tax collectors in Ugandan want every artiste to have a Tin Number to help the government tax them when they organize concerts.

Taxation Department spokesperson Bbosa Ibrahim said the thieves have been receiving money from the public and the money is very high as the tax collectors see the country losing money.

Bbosa said if thieves pay taxes from concerts Ugandan will speak for itself to develop.

He said he will call the leaders of the thieves to educate them on the plan on 13/1/2

The association says the thieves and the concert organizers don’t want this to pay taxes .it will hurt you as thieves wasting their money every year.

Tonny Ssempijja, the head of the Ugandan concert organizers, said that after COVID-19, concert organizers and thieves have no money and some are in debt.

Tonny Ssempijja said that this charging of concerts will create unemployment among the artists because young artists will not get the opportunity to perform because it will require him money to give the organizer to perform.

He said the concert organizer will not bring a young artist because he will not bring him money in his concert and now the thieves who are making names are agendas to get in this because they are money and reputation and it is easy to invite them to concerts not to cut the organizer.by Dan mugula.
