The Electoral Commission’s hand over the land follows the government through its ministry of works and transport in collaboration with the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to pay the commission 23 billion Ugandan shillings for the flyover.
Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama said the venue will soon be forgotten as those who have been working in it have been able to hold five polls without any cancellation.
Byabakama said although the place where the headquarters was located they loved to work in but it has been full of dangers including theft and it has not been in good condition so the government has been able to provide them with a door where they go to work.
