The National Unity Platform (NUP) has vowed to punish MPs who have spoken out against the party’s activities.
NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu yesterday called a meeting of NUP MPs to discuss various issues.
However, some National unity platform MPs did not attend the meeting and although there were no journalists present, we were able to get some of the details.
The meeting was attended by MPs from Kimanya Kabonera Abed Bwanika, Kawempe South MP Kazibwe Bashir and Dr Kagabo Twaha from Bukoto South and they see it as a devil.
The behavior of these MPs has started to speak out in the NUP but they have not given any reason to refuse to participate in the party meetings or send any messages or apologise.
National unity platform spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi said they will be invited to explain why they are not allowed to leave the party.
Joel Ssenyonyi said the party president called them to inform them of some things he did not want to tell us as belonging to the party.
