The Uganda Traffic Police has warned bus drivers who do not have a driver’s badge to start arresting them
The spokesperson of the Uganda Traffic Police Faridah Nampiima said that from 1st /5/2023 the traffic police will launch operations to arrest bus drivers who are found on the road without the badge they are told to get before they are allowed to drive buses.
He said bus owners should immediately go to the ministry of works and transport to remove the drivers’ badge before they are arrested.
Nampiima said bus owners do not allow any bus driver without a badge to put the bus on the road they will arrest him and the bus will also be arrested.
Recently bus accidents were rampant and there was a bus company that carried out an accident that killed many people here the traffic police in collaboration with the ministry of wax and transport imposed every bus driver to be dangerous because they were drunk and others were not drivers.
