TWO SUICIDE BY YOUNG PEOPLE OCCURRED LAST WEEK

Residents of Bawalakata Zone in Kasubi parish, Rubaga Division in Kampala, were terrified when they saw the body of one, Asuman Sonko, 17,  one of the younger residents of the area was  hanging at the face-board of his grand parents’ house.

Its alleged that Sonko who was working with one of the metal welding workshop in the area committed suicide having been forced by his grandfather, Isiah Sempiira with whom he was staying with to return the phone he had stolen from one of his fellow work at the workshop.

Sonko returned the phone to the owner who name withheld but after doing so its alleged he became ashamed and decided to committee suicide by hanging himself. The terrifying incidence occurred on Saturday last week.

In Kito A Kirinya I parish in Bweyogerere a juvenile also committed suicide by hanging after quarrel with his young brother.  Denis Okumu,12, committed suicide by hanging himself with a towel, this occurred after he qurrel with his brother John Martin Kolo ,9, according the police spokesperson SCP Enanga,each was insulating the other that you are not my brother something that could have prompted the former to committee suicide.

Mr. Enanga said that the incident happened when their father a one, Dominic Otara had gone to his home area in Tororo for burial of a relative.

Meanwhile police in Mitooma District also arrested and detained a couple for assaulting their 6 year old daughter which led to her death.

Hebert Twinamasko was arrest together with his wife identified as Phiona Natukunda and are yet to be taken to court to answer charges of torturing and assaulting of Witny ,6, a biological daughter to the former who succumbed to death after sustaining severe injuries.
