UGANDA MARTYRS’ LUBAGA WOMEN FC UNVEILS NEW COACHING TEAM

As FUFA Women Super League about to kick off, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football club has unveiled a new coach and club CEO who will steer the team to glory in the coming season.

Freda Ayerango is the new club CEO and Rogers Nkugwa who helped to promote the club to the elite league is the new coach and he will be assisted by Rajab Buyinza Mugweri , while the goal keeper coaching  will be handled by Derick Kasumba and the technical director is Ronald Masembe.

Brother Nsubuga Ronald Kasozi the club president while unveiling the new steering team to the media said that his team has been growing since it was promoted to the elite league and he will continue to fight for the growth of the team.

“ Football is not a game for reducing body wait but it builds the brains that is why we have younger players who are capable of learning. This explains why we have been defeating teams home and away.’’ Br. Kasozi said.

He further said that his team has been runners-up several times but this time round he is giving the coaching team and the CEO a target of winning this seasons title.

“We are tired of being runners up, if you are not capable of winning this season’s trophy you better tell me. We want to represent our country at the continental level and at the world seen Br. Kasozi charged Nkugwa the head coach.

The president also said that the new club C E O has been in the administration doing other work and she is qualified well to manage the club’s activities.

“ I have come back home. This is my third time to come back. I helped to promote the club to the elite league left came back left again and now have come back for the third time home.’’ Nkugwa said.

He also said that he knows what it takes to win this season’s title and he has recruited the players who can help him succeed and he has worked with most of them before.

In an effort to enhance the performance of the team, eleven new players have been recruited and four released. The players recruited include; Ruth Nyakato and Cecilia Kamuli both from Tooro Queen , others are, Sharo Karungi, Nakitto Nabirah, Shakira Nagudi and Shamim Nakalyowa.

The league will kick off on this Saturday, October 14 and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga will be visiting Kampala Queens on Sunday, October 15 at Lugogo.
