why Abed Bwanika and Kagabo Twaha have turned NUP into a sock hunter by opposing the party’s actions.
The National unity platform recently passed a constitutional amendment that will include leaders to rule two teams starting in the 2026 elections from MP to councilor
However, the leaders in the meeting are asking the leaders to control two teams and let others who have the ability to lead you.
However, MP for Kimanya Kabonera constituency in Masaka city Abed Bwanika dismissed this and said it cannot work in the NUP election those who left this motion sees the liars none of the NUP MPs will support it when the election comes.
Bukoto south MP Dr Twaha Kagabo did not differ from his fellow MP Abed Bwanika but said anyone who has the ability and the voters still want him to lead should stick to the leadership of more than two teams.
National unity platform spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi said Abed Bwanika and his colleague Twaka Kagabo were not present at the party’s decision-making council.
He said there are people who have the ability to run for positions such as councilors and MPs where people are and the leaders in the council saw that it would be better for the MP to run for two teams and let others get the opportunity to lead.
Jeol said there were some MPs who were violating the party rules and were with President Museveni’s son General Muhoozi Keinerugaba whom they were taking pictures with as if they were telling them about the NUP or you are committing a crime.
The leader of opposition and NUP MP for Masaka municipality Hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba said that although he was not present at the meeting , he received the results well and supports the decision of the authorities to have any leader rule two teams
He also said that the NUP MPs should give the amendment to the two teams rule time
