WE HAVE A PROBLEM IN OUR SYSTEM IN 2 DAY NO PASSPORT .

passport issuance on 2 days on 19 and 20 January 2023 is likely to be difficult as the ministry of internal affairs is repairing their passport issuance systems including apple passport,getting it,is now a real problem.

Brig Gen Namanya Johnson commissioner citizenship and control in the ministry of internal affairs said people who have been using the system wwwpossport.co.ug and starting next day 19 /1/2023 and 20/1/2023 on Friday when the system is available, processing passport will be returned new to deliver good services to the’people.

All people who made an appointment on 19th Thursday will come on 23/1/2023 when the system is upgraded next week.

Those who make appointments to remove the bulk from the offices of the ministry of affairs on 20/1/23 will also not be processed but on 24/1/2022 the date we will process them all after the system is upgraded on 23-24 January.

Namanya said they have deployed several staff when the system is upgraded and they expect about 1000 and 1200 people to come to get passports when the system is completed and the number of staff they have deployed will cover the number of people who will come there for 2 days.

And He said that in these 2 days no one will get passport that people come and follow the park when the system is completed.

Those who used to apply for passports from Kyambogo should get messages inviting them not to come and fill Kyambogo, and the ministry has apologized to all Ugandans affected by it these 2 days.

Offices that will be closed include receiving applications, except for one, and the kyambogo where passports are issued during these 2 days will not have any work done there during these 2 days.

The Ministry of Uganda has set up an office to deal with those who have serious problems including a patient who needs to go abroad for 2 days, and those who have known issues and need a passport immediately the office is there.

He said they have opened Kampala headquarters, Kyambogo, Mbarara, Gulu, Mbare, and those abroad like Washington, London, Pretoria, Abu Dhabi, you should be patient and we will finish repairing the system and they expect about 600 people to be affected in these 2 days
