President Museveni ambush Prime Minister Robina Nabbanja as he visits her constituency in her absence learns that whenever he visits the area things are every stage managed as the so called ‘Majegere’ lady ferries people from different parts of the country to attend the function with the intention of being cheered to blindfold the president that she is a darling in the constituency.
Its alleged that this time round as there was no ferrying of people from Kampala markets like Owino and other neighboring districts such as Hoima, there was no such stage managed cheering and chanting slogans that shows that ‘Majegere’ is a darling like its the case whenever she is around.
It seeks the president did it intentionally to send the Prime Minister on special duty to Switzerland and in the same period visited her area during her absence so as to find out the truth of the matter and what is in the area as far as NRM leadership is concerned.
Prime Minister also landed in trouble again as President Museveni discovers that the cows he sent to the family of the late Kalooli Kamanyire one of the NRM historical through didn’t reach the benefactors.
Museveni who visited the area to thank his voters for vehemently supporting and voting for him asked the family of the late Kamanyire whether they had received their cows in cash form they denied having even gotten a single coin, one of the residents who preferred to remain anonymous alleged that the Majegere lady used the money to construct her strolled building in Kakumiro town council
It’s alleged that the president gave each of the 14 children of the late Kamanyire four cross breed cows each valued at UGX 4 million and this totals to UGX 224M were every individual was to pocket 16M as start up for a farm and this money was sent through Nabbanja but up to now the intended beneficiaries have not received them.
The voters informed the president that the since Nabbanja was elevate to the office of the prime minister, she is making herself a king maker as she is ever fighting the people from families of the NRM historical who normally come out to show their political ambitions especially those she thinks will be vying for her post in the constituency.
The picture Museveni got in the absence of Nabbanja was a bit different because when she is around people the crowd is huge as she transports people even from the neighboring districts like Kagadi and Kibaale to come and cheer her as she is addressing the gathering.
Efforts to reach the Prime Minister via phone to have a comment for purposes of balancing the story where futile as she wasn’t picking her known phone number.
‘’I spent yesterday in Kakumiro district, where I went to pay my respects to the late Mzee Karoli Kamanyire, the National Resistance Army (NRA) historical, who passed on in June 2021. I thank God for his life. He did a lot of good things in his capacity and understanding, ventured into business, supported UPM and the NRM and also raised his family.’’ President Museveni’s twitter reads after the visit.
It reads further ,“I therefore appreciate him for the excellent job he did, although he is not here with us. I also thank the people of Bunyoro for supporting the government all these years, from the 1980s to date. They should, however, emulate the Hon. Byamukama for being a good leader who has ensured development in his area. The people can learn from his four-acre model farm, which earns him 55 million shillings monthly.”
