‘MASAZA’ CUP FINALS IN HIGH GEAR AS TICKETS GO ON SALE

The preparation for this edition’s Buganda ‘Masaza’ Cup finals is in high gears as sell of tickets launched at Bulange Mengo today March 1, 2023 by the Kiberu Ssekabenbe the minister in charge of sports and recreation for Mengo government.

The 2016 champion Buddu will be entertaining Busiro, who are 2019 runners-up who will also be seeking for their maiden title under the guidance of coach Peter Mugerwa,

While launching the sale of tickets,  Ssekabmbe cautioned the spectators especially for the teams which are playing the finals to avoid using obscene words, and abusing leaders at all levels as well as respecting traffic rules and regulations while travelling to the venue.

Ssekabembe said that some spectators move with their children because they want to make them grow loving the Buganda norms and culture but if they here such obscene words next time they won’t come back to watch and In the end the tournament will lose such people.

“ Hooliganism and talking of obscene words by some spectators drives a way sponsors and others spectators who turn up to watch the game with their children. It’s on this note that I argue all spectators to behave in a responsible manner.“  Ssekabembe cautioned.

The chairperson of the organizing committee Sulaiman Ssejengo argued all Kabaka’s subjects especially those from Busiro and Buddu to turn up on and cheer their teams because His majesty Kabaka will grace the finals.

Ssejengo also argued all people from the teams which are playing the finals to help their respective teams financially such that they can prepare well and show a thrilling final come march 4, 2023.

After the launch some individuals bought a few tickets for fans, the Hadja Namyalo from the president’s office bought for UGX 10 M, while the RDC for Bukomansimbi, the kick boxer Moses Ggolola, and Akram Lutaaya from Ssabagabo bought 100 tickets each.
