Nabweru police have started searching for an identified woman who abandon a 2 months baby at StLuke Church in Kazo Muganzirwaza .in Nansana Division,Wakiso District on January 18 ,2023.
The baby was discovered by Ssebugwawo Byan the LC1 defense secretary who saw closes for a baby just outside the church compound.
After identifying that what was in the closes was a baby he contacted the LC women leader and together they took the baby to police.
After registering the case on file number SD REF 07/18/1/2023 they each made a statement and police allowed Pross Musoke who happens to be the leader of Goodsamaritan group at St. Luke church who volunteered to cater for the child as police is searching for the parents.
Hasfa Nakawala who is in charge of Family Protection Unit at Nabweru police Station condemned such acts and vowed to ensure that the mother who abandoned the baby is brought to books.
