MBALE HEROES FC, CHEMISTO TO FACE FUFA DISCIPLINARY PANEL- BUSOGA UNITED MULANDA BAN FOR 12

Big League side Mbale Heroes FC in trouble as one of its officials, Chemisto Badru has been summoned to appear before FUFA Disciplinary Committee to answer quells of alleged acts of violence and hooliganism perpetrated against match officials.

This was revealed by FUFA Communications Director Ahmed Hussein in an email he copied to this website on 30th October, 2023.

 Chemisto and some of the club’s fans after the Big League game against Young Elephants FC on 22nd October 2023 at Mbale Municipal stadium are alleged to have attacked the match officials, abusing them and verbally throwing insulting words at them.

Attention is drawn to the following provisions; Articles 14(8), 14(11) and 39 (3) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code and the FUFA Competition rules.

‘’Mbale Heroes FC and Chemisto Badru must submit written responses by Tuesday 31st October 2023 5:00 pm to contend and or dispute their actions and state the reasons why they should not be sanctioned in accordance with the regulations. A summoning letter to Mbale administration reads in parts.’’

Meanwhile Charles Mulanda of Busoga United FC has been suspended for 12 matches and ordered to pay a fine of Ushs 500,000 after head butting the match referee having been found guilty contrary to FUFA Competitions rules and Articles 13 (1) and 14 (3) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code during the Uganda Premier League game against Gaddafi FC on 24th October, 2023 at Gaddafi Arena in Jinja.

   Mulanda’s ban also includes the two-match automatic suspension for the send-off in the same game having been shown a straight red card. The fine must be paid immediately and he is even prohibited from taking part in any football activities until the fine is paid in full and the ban is completed.
